Yeah, easyjet sucks badly! However, what I am complaining here is not their policy for asking people paying for checking bags and drinks and so on. It's their lack of proper employee training that eventually inconvenient many of their customers.
As long as I am not too tight on my money, I am not going to use it anymore. Many times it proves to be true that using a train travel inside Europe is so much more efficient than using the freaking "not very easy" easy-jet!

I think it's a command. Of course, you'd have to read it to your pack of dogs, but they'd clue in soon enough.

I didn't know the origins of cyrillic either, and my russian wife drew a blank, so I checked wikipedia, which says this about the matter:

Although it is widely accepted that the Glagolitic alphabet was invented by Saints Cyril and Methodius, the origins of the early Cyrillic alphabet are still a source of much controversy. It has been attributed to Saint Clement of Ohrid, disciple of Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius. Recent studies have suggested that the Cyrillic alphabet was more likely developed at the Preslav Literary School in northeastern Bulgaria.

Loving this! I am a big fan of ridiculous signs. There's a brilliant book called Signspotting (http://www.signspotting.com/peek_inside_book_1.html), which honestly makes me laugh till I cry when I read it. The captions are as funny as the signs - much like your post, which gave me my first laugh of the day (and the day's almost over!). Well done!

[...] As per my plan to chase the light by flying south for the winter, I’d booked a round-the-world ticket onwards, rather than returning to Europe. As part of the crazy conditions attached to that, I was able to fly into San Francisco, but had to depart from Los Angeles. Thankfully it was a night-time departure, so rather than the hassle of arranging a connecting flight, I decided to drive down the coast instead. [...]

Why not next time just stop the first young and intelligent looking person you see in the street and ask him/her to translate what you need to be translated.

I been reading your blog with some interest over the few months as I'm from the Netherlands and planning to move to Tallinn as well!
Although you have left Tallinn now you might find this website quite interesting, specially on the forum a lot of foreigners who live in Tallinn are quite active telling their experiences.
I hope you keep the blogging up about your adventures in the balkan!

Hi
What I would advise you do is go to some Macedonian forums where you might get some information and advice.

Few forums for your consideration are forums.vmacedonia.com or www.kajgana.com

What is your goal for your visit in Macedonia? Historic sites? Bars?
